Car parking options
Faro airport provides passengers and visitors with car parks near the terminal for various travelling scenarios. For dropping off or picking up someone at the airport, there are two short stay parks for departures and arrivals - park P1 and park P2 respectively, also ideal for short trips. If you will be away for longer and want to leave the car safe until your return, you can use the long stay parking facilities at park P3, the only low cost car park within the Faro airport perimeter.
To meet the needs of the general public, private transport companies and car rental businesses, Faro airport is equipped with 6 car parks in total, each with its own purpose. They are all easily identifiable by a simple and clear signage system pointing the direction to the desired park as you drive into the airport. Park “Kiss & Fly” - departures
Quick stop area for dropping passengers and luggage next to departures. To avoid abuse and congestion, free entrance is only allowed for 10 minutes.
Park P3 - long term
Public car park for long stay parking with low cost tariff. Ideal for travellers at Faro airport that will be away for longer and want to leave the car safe until their return. Park P3 is the only long stay car park within the Faro airport perimeter.

Park P4 - car rental
Parking space for local car hire companies that operate without a representation desk inside the terminal. The park has a customer support desk shared by several suppliers, where passengers with pre-booked car rentals pick-up and return their vehicles.

Park P5 - private coaches
Parking lot with access reserved for the larger vehicles of private transportation companies. This is where coaches and buses from travel operators wait for passengers arriving at Faro airport.
Capacity: 35 parking spaces
Park P6 - transfers and private taxis
Park reserved for shuttle and transfer companies operating private taxi services. After welcome reception by the driver at the arrivals hall, passengers will be guided to their transfer vehicle parked here.

Stopping rules next to departures and arrivals
Curbside parking next to departures and arrivals area is expressly prohibited at Faro airport. Rigid rules were created in order to improve traffic flow and security in all terminal accesses.
Departures
To encourage drivers to rapidly drop-off passengers, a new “kiss & fly” stopping area with a control gate was introduced next to departures. Every vehicle can stay 10 minutes for free in this area. After the second entry in this parking space during each 24h period, additional entries will be progressively charged immediately regardless of how long the vehicle stays inside.
Arrivals
For those who want to pick up passengers next to the arrivals hall, they should use the P2 park.
Short term parking
Faro airport provides two short term parks close to the terminal for quick access - park P1 next to the departures area and park P2 next to the arrivals area. These parks have higher rates and their use is most appropriate and convenient for scenarios such as dropping off or picking up passengers at the airport. It is also suitable for short trips. You can also leave your car in these parks for longer periods but the P3 park is the cheapest option for long stay parking.

These two parks apply short stay fees. Overall they have the higher prices but are also the car parks closest to the terminal, allowing for a faster and more convenient access to the departures and arrivals areas. Parks P1 and P2 cost 0,95€ and 0,85€ respectively for each period of 15 minutes. These values also correspond to the minimum amount to pay even if the parking time does not reach 15 minutes. For the first 24 hours the maximum charged value is 13€. For the subsequent days the park is charged 1,50€ per hour with a daily limit of 10€.

Long term parking
The P3 car park inside the airport perimeter is located at just 400 meters from the terminal and applies low cost fees for long stay parking when compared to parks P1 and P2. Intended for passengers departing from Faro airport and looking for a quick way of leaving their car safe and closer to the airport. Ideal for those who prefer to drive their own car to and from Faro airport. Park P3 is often used by foreigners living in the Algarve, giving them the possibility to travel with the peace of mind of knowing that their vehicle stays safe until their return.

Although possible to park your car for an extended period of time in all of the three public parks at Faro airport (P1, P2, P3), the P3 park - 5 minutes walk to the terminal - represents the best option for long stay parking. A 24 hours parking period costs 5€, dropping to 4€ per day after the first 14 days and to 3€ per day after 30 days.
