This room was exactly what we needed for the type of traveling we do. 2 twin beds, a private bathroom, simple amenities. A place to come home to at the end of a long day of walking and sight seeing. We didn't encounter any issues. Staff was really friendly. Check in and checkout was smooth. Amazing value. Close to everything (5-10 min walk or less to everything)

FAQs about hotels in Faro
On average, it costs $111 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Faro for tonight. You'll pay around $206 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Faro will cost around $324, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Faro is the picturesque capital of the Algarve region, offering colourful streets and buildings, Moorish influence, and typical Portuguese charm. It is encompassed by the lagoon of Ria Formosa Natural Park, and offers wide beaches, a laid-back atmosphere, and a vibrant nightlife.
Occupied by Phoenicians and Carthaginians, and once an important Roman harbour and Moorish culture capital, it was almost flattened by the 1755 earthquake. Happily, the historic centre survived and is today one of best preserved in Algarve. Choosing a hotel in Faro’s Old Town will allow you to have a more authentic Portuguese experience.
The long, sandy beach of Praia de Faro is 7 km from the city, and the beach on Barreta Island –also known as Deserta - is probably the most tranquil in the region. Hotels near the beach in Faro and the surrounding towns of Olhão, Tavira, Quinta do Lago, Quarteira and Vilamoura, are all excellent ways to enjoy sunny Portugal.
Faro International Airport offers connections throughout Europe, and the city also offers ferry, railway, and bus links. Whether you need a beach resort or a hotel near Faro Airport, check out the wide offer available on Booking.com!

It's a lived-in, working city and doesn't pretend to put tourists at the forefront. However, tourists are well-catered for and I've spent a few happy days wandering the town on several occasions. Just wear sturdy shoes and have a little torch handy as the pavements/kerbs are no fun!

Lovely parts of this city near Marina, and while there seems to be lots of regeneration the city is quite run down in parts and a huge amount of graffiti. Lovely shopping streets and cafes, and a trip to both the Mar and Forum Algarve shopping centres a great way to spend a few hours. Nice restaurants in marina area and small parks. Well worth a visit but two days here is plenty.

Great for just strolling - some of the back streets are magical. People very friendly and very proud of their city. Take the ferry to Cacilhas and try one of the fish restaurants in the main village there. Go to tourist information and you may want to go further.
In Faro we ate at 8 Tapas, the Tavern, and Velha Casa - just what we wanted with delightful staff. Octopus at the Tavern with two crazy waiters was superb.

I am certain I must have reviewed Faro before, but I doubt I will ever tire of the place so I guess whatever I say about it will always be through those eyes... A city, full of hustle and bustle and yet you can always find somewhere to sit, watch life and reflect... Storks are nesting everywhere, you can almost touch the Trains as they rumble through alongside the river, you can see the Airport and the centrally placed bus station will take you here there and everywhere... It has a proper old bit, with walls and everything, including nesting storks and gorgeous architecture... It has functional bits, the commercial centre, it has a Marina, it has culture, it is a proper City full of real life... You may have guessed already I love it 'ALL'... Alan

Compact and historical. easy to walk round the cobbled streets. Lovely old buildings in the old town, museum and cathedral worth a visit. Some good bars/reataurants. We love the one on the marina (O Cortona) Good food and service, excelent location. Best thing is it is next to the Ria Formosa natural park so plenty of wildlife, bird spotting. Boat trip is a must.

Good for 3 days/ 2 nights - get out to the beaches and islands - cheapest way is by ferry to Praia de Faro - just a few euros.
City is small enough to walk around. Check out 100 Montaditos for cheap snacks
Really great location in faro, close to the train station and all the old town faro. staff were friendly. It is pretty basic and functional, which is great there was an outdoor area and a kitchen which we didn’t use.
I am pretty used to the £7-12 euros per night in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, so £44 for a room felt a bit steep for what we got, but I think, writing this review in retrospect a few days after we’ve left, that is pretty good for Portugal!
As an airport hotel, simply - perfect
Perfect location. Very clean, specious, decorated in modern, simple design. Without anything excessive or intrusive. Beds are super comfortable and we were surprised how peaceful this neighborhood is since Faro airport is quite busy. Everything was were it should be, how airport hotel supposed to be designed.and organized.
Hotel has my absolute recommendations.
Everything, but particularly the location... ON THE BEACH. We had excellent help from the staff when needed. The closeness to the airport is wonderful, taxi costs about €10. Beds very comfortable. Useful fridge in room. You can ask for free beach towels. You can use the sunloungers on the property, but if you want to lie on the beach the WaxRestoBar rents them out just steps away from the hotel.
Everything is perfect in that house, starting from the little corner at the entrance, then divided in different rooms, and ours was just perfect, even a balcony where you could enjoy a drink at night, very comfortable bathroom with everything you need. It was our last night in Portugal and we really enjoyed it there. I would definitely recommend and certainly come back again when in Faro.
This is the place to go if you want to be close to the beach and nature, or if you want a good base for exploring the south of Portugal.
The rooms are neatly furnished with all the basics.
The hosts are super kind and will provide you with all the useful tips on exploring the city and area
+ outdoor terraces, spacious and a fully equipped kitchen
Helpful and friendly hosts who supplied every need. Spacious and well cared for apartments tastefully converted giving a sense of openness and space. Ideally located in the old centre of Faro with all amenities nearby. Faro itself with its international airport a perfect introduction to a trip around Portugal.
This hotel is an absolute gem. It's not close to Faro if you are looking to walk into town but if you need an airport stay or a one nighter which we did as we went to Faro beach the next day it's perfect. Large rooms, very clean, free WiFi, great breakfast selection and friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.
A great hotel for short stays, I say that as rooms are very small. BUT, the hotel and rooms are new, fresh and in a great location for touring Faro. We used this hotel for our last night of a two week vacation as it was a 10 minute drive to the airport with a gas station on the way to fill up the rental car.
The location was perfect. Hostel situated right on the beach. So, from your dormitory you can jump straight to the river. It was amazing!
A lot of restaurants and bars around, bus stop close by . It's the island.
The atmosphere is very friendly.
Big self served kitchen is available
Out of all of the countries I’ve been to, this hotel’s bathroom was definitely one of the best! A lovely Best Western in a town in Portugal, and the best bathroom I’ve ever used! Lovely big stone shower, and space, and lighting. Perfect!! Comfy bed, good tv and windows.
A good hotel in a central location, close to the airport, bars, restaurants, and cafes. A short walk from the old town and the centre of Faro. A nice interior, with good kitchen facilities. The hotel staff are great and they're always available to help.
perfect little beach. next to the airport, ~2 km. there is a bus from the airport to the island ~ walking way ca. 500 meter to the hostel and island. Connections by bus also to Faro.
Good idea for acclimate the first days
The location on the beach is great and the rooftop bar and restaurant was a great place to meet and visit with friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful with great recommendations for visiting the areas of the Algarve.
The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip to Portugal, the staff especially Amin were all amazing and very friendly, excellent modern rooms and balconies. We stayed for our honeymoon and the little touches were great!
Location was great for me particularly because I only had one day between my two flights and it was just 10 minutes walk from the airports, while still being in driving range (10-15 minutes) of the beach and the Faro City.
Really nice terrace with amazing view. Flat is cute and clean - with small bathroom and kitchen. It's really close to historical center of Faro. Owner was really helpful, thank you for such a nice welcome to Portugal!.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, best breakfast in a long time, location was excellent, beautiful views from our room, hotel is right in the centre of Faro, lovely relaxing few days
On arrival at Faro booked into this hotel. Staff Very helpful. Food fantastic great walk on gorgeous beach and a very good first night stay in Portugal
